Regional Clinical Manager
Samantha Shadwell, MPTSamantha Shadwell, MPT , received her Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. She joined RMI in March 2004. Prior to her promotion as Regional Clinical Manager, she acted in as a manager in multiple assisted living facilities. She was then promoted to the role of Start-up Specialist. During her time as a start up specialist she ensured the smooth and profitable transition of new facilities. She received the Rookie of the year award in 2005 and Therapist of the Year in 2006. She received these awards as a result of her outstanding clinical performance as a therapist and manager as well as her ability to ensure success with new and existing business.
Samantha has been in the long term care industry for 10 years. She has served as a physical therapist and program manager in both skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Prior to her employment with Rehab Management, Samantha developed a wide range of clinical skills serving in team management roles in various settings including geriatrics, home health, and pediatrics.
Samantha is a certified clinical instructor through the APTA. She has attended many courses on wheelchair seating and positioning, fall management, and clinical approaches to treat the elderly. She has also developed programs and in-service material regarding multiple programs to enhance therapy with the elderly population.

Regional Clinical Manager
Hall J. Orcutt, MPT and MBAHall received his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Subsequently he completed a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in healthcare management. He has a problem solving, coaching/mentoring management style. Prior to joining RMI, he has held several regional management roles including specialized experience in both the LTC and acute care arenas for both public and privately held companies. His most recent role was with Kindred Healthcare/Peoplefirst Rehab (now RehabCare) having oversight over acute care programs spanning 6 states. During his time there he had divisional oversight over 3 startup hospitals.
Hall has had a wide variety of experience as a therapist and manager including outpatient (both geriatric and pediatric), home health, acute care, LTC, and assisted living. He is a certified clinical instructor through the APTA and has coordinated with various educational programs to enhance these relationships in the past. He has had additional specialized training in aquatics, manual therapies, sports assessment and treatment including "back to golf" certification. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is pursuing attaining the FACHE status with that organization.
Hall currently resides in Richmond with his wife and 2 daughters. His interests include a lot of outdoor activities including fishing, golf, snowboarding, and skiing. -
Regional Clinical Manager
Jan Edwards, M.Ed, CCC/SLPJan received her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Florida. Throughout her career, she has maintained the American Speech and Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competency and is licensed in two states. Early in her career she was a private practitioner, providing speech language pathology services in various settings including outpatient, home health, skilled nursing and pediatrics.
When Jan Joined RMI in 2011, she brought over 25 years of regional and executive level management experience. Her career focus has been overseeing rehab operations to ensure best clinical and best business practices in the geriatric population. Her strengths include clinical team development, customer relations, leadership and management training and mentoring, as well as regulatory compliance and 3rd party reimbursement.
She has recently returned to Virginia, residing in Richmond. Her daughter and son-in-law reside in Alexandria.
